Default Business Hours

When you create a new SparrowDesk account, we automatically set up a default business hours schedule for you. This helps ensure your customers know when your team is available and when they can expect a response.

How Default Business Hours are set

The default business hours are created based on the timezone detected from your browser settings during signup.

Working days and times: By default, the schedule is:

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Saturday & Sunday: Closed

This means your business is considered functional Monday through Friday, and off during weekends.

Modifying Your Business Hours

You can change the default settings to match your company’s actual working schedule:

Go to Settings → Business Hours.

Edit the name, timezone, and working days/times.

Click Update Changes to save.

How your customers see Business Hours

When business hours are enabled:

  • During business hours: Customers see your normal chat widget and can expect prompt responses.
  • Outside business hours: A small banner appears in the chat widget, showing an after hours message.
  • You can fully customize this after hours message in the chat widget configuration settings.
